Xiaomi celebrating its 10th Anniversary introduced Redmi Brand, the first band under the Redmi brand in China.
The news of Redmi Band getting launched had been doing rounds and as we posted yesterday based on the news of Redmi smartband launch today, the same has happened as promised.
Redmi Band specifications, features
The new Redmi band has finally launched and it has a 1.08-inch square color display, promises up to 14 days of battery life and comes with built-in charging port that plugs into a USB-A port on the charger, laptop or PC so that you don’t want to be searching for the charging cable.
The band has heart rate sensor, comes with activity tracker, sleep monitor, sedentary reminder and lots more. We should have the complete specifications once the online event ends.
When will it launch in India ?
Given the current situation, the fitness band may take time to hit the Indian shores. However, if the launch happens, Xiaomi’s new gadget is expected to counter Realme’s first fitness band and even Honor’s own line-up of budget fitness bands.
The Redmi Band comes in Black, Blue, Green and Orange colors, is priced at 99 yuan (US$ 14 / Rs. 1,060 approx.) and will go on sale in China from April 9th.
Currently, the Mi Band 4 sells in India at a price of Rs 2,299 and there’s a cheaper version of the same known as the Mi Band 3i that sells at Rs 1,299. The Mi Band 5 could either replace the Mi Band 4 in India or it could sit above the Mi Band 4 at a slightly premium price. We will keep you updated as and when more details are available.
